Cancelling and refunds
Cancelling stops a renewal and nothing else. Annual terms are non-refundable, and the one credit is for an unfounded suspension.
The short answer
Cancelling is done on the Billing screen by the owner or a billing contact. The subscription stops renewing and access runs to the end of the period that was paid for; then the organization drops to Free, with its counties read-locked rather than deleted. Nothing is refunded on cancelling: annual terms are non-refundable. To try the product before paying for a year, use the free account, the 7-day county trial or a monthly plan.
Cancelling a subscription
On Billing, choose Cancel subscription… and then Cancel at period end. The subscription is tagged Cancelling until the end date, and Resume undoes the cancellation any time before then. Removing the API add-on, seats or county slots works the same way: each takes effect at the end of the period, is not credited, and stays usable until then.
Closing an organization is not cancelling. It ends the subscription at once and forfeits the rest of the term, and it is not a refund request; see organizations and members.
What is not refunded
Annual terms are not refundable. Monthly charges are not refunded. Decreases are not credited. The rest of a term is not refunded when an organization is closed or when a subscription ends because a balance went unpaid.
The credit for an unfounded suspension
If Data Tactical Group suspends an organization and the suspension turns out to have been unfounded, the subscription fees for the suspended days are credited to the next invoice, prorated by the day. A person applies the credit. See past due and suspension.
